Gable Conservatories

  • Our Gable conservatories have a unique sloping roof that is high vault to let the maximum amount of light in. There are infinite possibilities with our gable conservatories; the distinctive front panel can be plain or have a design and there are no restrictions on shape or size. Gable conservatories work well with blings meaning you can block the sun out to prevent overheating.

Our gable conservatories can flatter any home and have a more traditional or contemporary finish.

Renowned for its unique sloping roof, the gable end conservatory is both attractive and practical – its high vaulted roof enhances surrounding outside light, which works to open up the room even further, creating a spacious atmosphere. Timelessly beautiful, set your home apart from the rest with our unique gable conservatories.

A conservatory with a little more personality, the gable design has a distinctive glass roof section at the front, which you can make plain or craft your own design. Without the style restrictions of a Victorian or Edwardian conservatory, you have the freedom to decide on the shape and style, so you can find the right conservatory for you.

Our gable end conservatories are also ideal for blinds, meaning if the hot summer sun gets a bit too much, you can always shut out a bit of the sunlight, whilst still bathing in its warmth inside of your conservatory.

Part of the beauty of a gable end conservatory is how adaptable it is – it looks stunning on both modern and period properties alike. Its design replicates that of a Georgian, gothic style which was often seen on rich estates. Our gable end conservatories comes in a range of finishes, meaning you can either pick a more contemporary design to suit your property, or a more traditional finish – the choice is completely yours!

What is a Gable conservatory?

Rather than having a roof that slopes back towards the house, the front of a Gable conservatory (also known as a Gable-end conservatory) is completely upright and forms a triangle. Resembling a Georgian conservatory but a vertical glass front, they are square or rectangular in style.

The roof to a Gable conservatory has two pitches that slope down on either side of the centre frame, creating a vaulted ceiling. This can make your property’s interior seem much more spacious.

You can even choose from different designs for the front part of your conservatory. Opt for a classic sunburst look or chat to us about your other options.

Why choose a Gable conservatory?

The square or rectangular shape of the Gable conservatory makes it excellent for maximising the square footage of your home. Its right-angled corners also make it easier to furnish than other conservatory shapes.

As this conservatory style was popular in the Georgian period, Gable conservatories will accentuate the period features in your house — great for those who want to create a stately feel. Also, if you want a spacious conservatory, the vertical front section of the Gable style facilitates this airy feel.

Are Gable conservatories energy efficient?

The materials used to make your Gable conservatory will determine how energy efficient it is. At AGS, we use high-quality materials and superior glazing to make you a conservatory that’s usable all year round. We don’t want your conservatory to negatively impact your bills, so energy efficiency is at the front of our minds when we’re designing your structure.

We also offer some other options that could increase the efficiency of your conservatory, such as dwarf walls or a tiled roof.

Are Gable conservatories secure?

Our conservatory glass is toughened to make break-ins difficult and we use high-spec locking mechanisms on all our doors. Although it’s always a sensible idea to remove valuable possessions from view, if someone does try to break-in they’ll have a difficult time doing it.
